The main difference between a coat and a classic barong is the construction style. A coat barong has the same outer material as a classic barong but has a construction style somewhat similar to a suit jacket or coat. To learn more, please click here.

We don't sell fabric.

Our barongs are made using only the finest fabrics, and we are extremely meticulous about their quality. Because of this, we are unable to accept the use of any fabric besides the ones we offer.

All the fabric options for a formal barong are sheer. A CLASSIC barong is lined with organza, another sheer fabric, to help minimize wear and tear and provide a sleek inside finish. A piece made of jusi or jusi-piña is not lined because jusi has the highest fiber density among the fabric options, and it has a polished finish, so it doesn't require an organza lining. Traditionally, a classic barong is worn with a tucked short sleeve (usually off-the-rack) undershirt. However, a tucked off-the-rack short sleeve undershirt doesn't look nice as it creates visible gaps with a sheer and almost transparent barong fabric. It makes the barong look inexpensive. For this reason, we provide a complimentary custom-tailored long-sleeve undershirt (called Camisa de Chino) designed to be worn untucked for every classic barong. This undershirt enhances the overall look and quality of the barong.

The most white is plain jusi or plain cocoon. 

Another thing to consider is the color of the undershirt because it greatly affects the perception of the overall color.  A light-colored undershirt can be used to dilute the natural color of the barong fabric.

Yes, we can use threads with different colors or we can dye the fabric to incorporate specific colors. We can also use colored camisa de chino (undershirt).

Yes, because the manufacturing of large pieces requires additional materials and labor. Larger patterns can, at times, present challenges that can only be handled by experienced and higher-paid tailors.
